Is the global war on terror also an assault on personal liberty? Warrantless intercepted electronic and telephone communications; targeted assassinations of US citizens abroad; drones obtrusively observing citizens from above our cities; indefinite detentions without trial, we live in an age where “freedom” is becoming nothing more than a facade. Should this power be reined in? Should there be more transparency in government and the decisions to snoop into our lives checked?
